For clarinet

Whiff was written for Aileen Razey to perform at the 50^th anniversary of the 2023 ICA ClarinetFest in Denver, Colorado. The three short movements depict important elements of ICA ClarinetFest: Grenadilla, for the wood that makes the clarinet, Gold, for the 50-year anniversary, and Mountains, for the host city of Denver, which is surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. For the world-premiere performance, each movement was paired with a custom-made fragrance from Paisley and Company.
